THE CONFERENCE

The theme of the 9th National Conference of Acupuncture Association of India was “Acupuncture Beyond 2000 – New Opportunities”. It was two-day-feast of knowledge with pre-conference workshop on Newer applications in Acupuncture and on Add on therapies with Acupuncture which was the unique attraction of that year.

Hosted by Dr Vinay Varma as organizing Secretary, with full support of colleagues of Modern Medicine ( members of IMA Hubli & General Practitioners’ Association, Hubli.) – first and only the kind of conference supported by practitioners of Modern Medicine. General Practitioners’ Association , organized cultural evening show with participation of doctors themselves & their family members for two hours non-stop in packed auditorium.
Then the Health minister of Karnataka state - Shri Dr. A. B. Malakareddy was the chief guest.
Dr Biradar V N - Director, & Dr Makkanawar - Principal of the prestigious Karnataka Institute of Medical Sciences (formerly Karnataka Medical College) - provided Auditorium and all the facilities for the conference.
